EDUCATION

DESTA is proud to provide high school alternatives in partnership with the English Montreal School Board’s DEAL Program (Distance Education for all Learners), and the RESO Program At James Lyng High School. Students can choose to study at home, or return to a classroom situation to complete their outstanding high school credits.

DEAL program

The DEAL Program (Distance Learning for All Learners)  allows students to complete their high school education individually at home, with the support of the High School of Montreal or tutor pairings facilitated by DESTA. Students are responsible for the $25 registration fee which provides a 6 month window to complete your chosen course of study. Textbooks range between $25 and $35, depending on the subject.

RESO program

The RESO program (Regroupment économique et social du Sud-Ouest) helps adults who need to prepare to enter or re-enter the workforce by providing secondary education courses in English or French, or requirements necessary for admission to a vocational/professional training program. RESO offers its services free-of-charge to residents of Saint-Henri, Little Burgundy, Pointe-Saint-Charles, Saint-Paul-Émard and Griffintown as well as individuals residing on the Island of Montreal.
